Mass Readings for
Thursday, July 02, 2009
First: Gn 22:1b-19
Psalm: Ps 115:1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 8-9
Second:
Gospel: Mt 9:1-8

Random Fact:
Franklin D. Roosevelt was the only US president elected four times.

Random Act:
Make homemade popsicles.

Reflect:
Getting forgiveness for our sins is easy. All we need to do is partake in the Sacrament of Penance. Yet, some seem to believe this is as difficult as having a paralyzed person walk. As we practice this Sacrament often, reconciliation becomes as easy as not only walking but breathing. Jesus freely gives His love to us; we only need to partake of it.

Quote of the Day:
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

Saint of the Day:
Thursday of the Thirteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Summer's great. No school, free time... the perfect recipe for Daily Mass. Get up a little earlier tomorrow and see if you can get to your parish - because nothing beats hanging with Jesus in the morning.

This is a big week for Life Teen. We're training a new group of Summer Staffers to lead the second half of summer camp at Covecrest in Georgia, Tepeyac in Arizona, and RockyVine in Missouri. Plus we're hosting a teen leadership training week called LT@ND in Indiana. Later in July we'll host Steubenville West in beautiful Tucson, Arizona. We can't wait to see you all!
